Family Friendly Comedy Hour: Jo Jarvie, MJ Stokes, Felix O’Connor and Emily Bradley
MC: Ian Lynam
Venue: Astra Hall, UCD Student Centre 3:30pm - 4:20pm
Comedians Jo Jarvie, MJ Stokes, Felix O’Connor and Emily Bradley come together in this great line up curated and MC-ed by Ian Lynam for an all neurodivergent, family friendly comedy hour!
Ian Lynam (He/Him):
Ian is a Dublin-based comedian who has been performing for nearly a decade now. His solo show, Autistic License debuted to a sold out run in Dublin Fringe 2021 and continued with a critically acclaimed run in Edinburgh Fringe 2022. He set up Spoons, an all-neurodivergent stand up night in 2024 featuring big name acts like Bláithín De Burca, Aidan Greene and Rosie O'Donnell. As Ireland's first openly autistic comedian, he deftly combines autism advocacy and clever word play for an unforgettable experience.
Jo Jarvie (She/Her):
Jo Jarvie is an award-winning comedian based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. After a 12-year hiatus, Jo returned to the comedy scene with a vengeance, crafting hilarious anecdotes that resonate with audiences. She is the first-ever English person to place in Ireland’s history at “Show Me The Funny”, (proving that she’s just too funny to ignore!). Jo is known for her high-spirited performances and unapologetically dirty jokes. Her fearless approach to stand-up has earned her accolades and a growing fan base. Come on the journey of what you learn when it all goes wrong!
Felix O'Connor (He/Him):
Felix is one of Dublin's funniest, hottest and cleverest trans masculine comics on the comedy scene (there are only a few of them but he still counts it as a win). Felix takes the absurdity of the trans experience and expertly melds it with silliness, cheeky romance stories and biting social commentary. Felix's off the wall comedic stylings are sure to have you laughing and maybe, just maybe, thinking a little too. Felix is a regular host, performer and co-founder of Hysteria Comedy Club and he is host of the monthly queer comedy Token Straight. He has also performed at Cherry Comedy, won twice at Dublin Comedy Roast Battle, opened for David O’Doherty, Joel Kim Booster and Rosie O'Donnell, and played Paddy Power Comedy Festival. His first solo show "Bad Girl: A One Man Show" debuted in Dublin Fringe Festival 2024 after development in Scene and Heard the same year, and was nominated for the Fringe Little Gem Award.
MJ Stokes (They/Them)
Staring down the abyss of gainful adult employment, MJ Stokes (Dublin Fringe, Scene and Heard) looked back on two decades and change of being laughed at and decided to take control of the narrative. Alternately witty, surreal and mildly to moderately unhinged, they have been delighting audiences all over Ireland by poking fun at neurotypicals, pointing out the absurdities of mental illness and sharing some very strong opinions on barnyard fowl.
Emily Bradley (They/Them)
Emily Bradley is a Stand-up comedian from Dublin. They started their career as a backing singer for Susan Boyle and let’s face it it’s all been down hill since then. Emily was nominated as best performer in the Dublin fringe festival and voted at as MVP by paste magazine. They are currently producing Cult of Aerobic in Smock Alley theatre.
Emily is the host of Queer Note at Hysteria club. They also have performed at Nottingham and Leister comedy festival purely to get an unhealthy amount of Greg’s pastry’s with no judgement. Their stand up highlight was performing the Paddy Power Comedy festival and EP.
